We strive to produce products that stand the test of time and bring joy to their owners for as long as possible. For this reason, we offer our products an optional extended 18-month product warranty.

Clothing is covered by consumer protection laws in Finland, so all clothing buyers are protected by the six-month statutory presumption of defect provided for in consumer protection laws (in Finnish). At Aarre, we aim to produce products that last longer than the 6-month statutory presumption under Finnish consumer protection laws. That’s why we offer our products an optional 18-month product warranty.
The product warranty covers all the clothing we manufacture that meets the conditions we have defined, except for sock products such as tights. The product warranty also applies to products purchased through resellers. The extended 18-month product warranty applies only to products that have been used for their intended purpose and cared for according to the care instructions. Customers must also provide a receipt that shows the purchase date of the product.
Our optional 18-month warranty does not replace the customer’s or company’s rights under consumer protection laws.
In the table presented below, it’s detailed what is included in Aarre optional 18-month product warranty. The various sections of the table will be further explained in detail later on this page. Please note that the product warranty does not apply to products that have been treated in a manner contrary to the care instructions. The stated 18-month product warranty is calculated from the date when the customer purchased the product.

If the product’s zipper or any similar additional accessory breaks during normal use within 18 months of the purchase date, it is covered by the warranty.
Please note that the product has been used in a manner consistent with its intended purpose, and there has been no undue pressure placed on the zipper or other additional accessory (such as the zipper breaking due to an inappropriate size of the product).
If the product’s seams, for example, come apart or unravel during normal use within 18 months of the purchase date, the product is covered by the warranty.
It should be noted that the customer has chosen an appropriate size based on the available size chart to exclude seam separation or weakening due to an improper fit.
It is normal wear and tear for the colors and patterns of the product to fade with repeated washing. Such normal fading of colors and patterns is not covered by the extended product warranty.
The warranty also does not cover the normal wear of the material, such as reasonable pilling in areas of friction.

The extended 18-month product warranty does not cover holes in the product that have been caused by customer actions. These include holes and snags caused by sharp edges, zippers, or nails, for example.
The extended product warranty also does not cover abnormal wear and tear on the product, such as wear and tear on the knees from crawling or falling.
The product warranty does not cover products that have not been maintained in accordance with the care instructions. Deviating from the care instructions includes, for example, washing the product at a temperature or using a program different from what is recommended in the care instructions. To fulfill the warranty, the product must also have been stored correctly and carefully. For instance, knitwear should be stored flat to avoid stretching.
If you have Aarre brand product that breaks or doesn’t perform as expected during normal use and meets the conditions outlined on this page, you are eligible for the 18-month extended product warranty. You can fill out the form below to notify us of your defective product. Please remember to attach the receipt that shows the purchase date of the product.
Primarily, we will repair the broken product through our partner Menddie (warranty repair available in Finland). If the issue with the product is not repairable, depending on the situation and the extent of the defect, we may propose an alternative compensation option.
