This year, Aarre collected 20 points, rising to the best A category in the Ränkkä brandi comparison prepared by the Association for Ethical Trade. We have made strides especially in extending the life cycle of clothes and communicating about it, and it shows in our results.

We improved in Eetti ry's Ränkkä brandi comparison, rising to the best A category from the previous year's B category. Aarre got a total of 20 points, with the maximum score being 29.

We got a full two points for promoting the longevity of clothes. Our goal is to make everyday clothing choices easy by manufacturing clothes that last time and use. The goal is supported by, among other things , an extended product warranty and cooperation with the Menddie repair service , through which we offer repair and maintenance services for the products. Over the past year, we have invested in expanding product information by adding care instructions and measurement tables for each product. In addition to this, comprehensive general information has been added to the website regarding the selection of the right size and the care of the products, so that consumers can avoid mistaken purchases and the purchased clothes will last a long time if properly cared for.

The entire production chain, from design to production and product development, is in our own hands, which enables transparent and responsible operations. 89.8% of our production is located in Portugal and 10.2% in Italy. Most of our products are made in our own sewing factory in Portugal.

"Through our own sewing factory, we can genuinely and directly influence the well-being of employees and the stages of the production chain. All suppliers have signed the Supplier Code of Conduct, the implementation of which and the suppliers' responsibility work are monitored." Aartee CEO and designer Laura Silva says.

We continue our responsibility work as part of our daily operations and report on it in the annual responsibility report . In the future, we will focus on improving, among other things, the calculation of the carbon footprint and the promotion of new operating models that support the sharing and circular economy. We are committed to being carbon neutral by 2030, and we are constantly taking measures to achieve the goal by focusing more and more on the emissions during the product's entire life cycle. In addition, we are currently mapping operating models for the possibility of pre-sales to consumers and the implementation of our own second-hand and lending services. So far, our products can be borrowed from seven clothing loan shops around Finland.
